The days leading up to Halloween did not disappoint. Rogers surprised me one Friday night and took me to the Trail of Terror on some farmland in Fishers. A nice little jaunt through the woods with ghoulish figures flying at you and jumping out from some decent hiding places. This preceeded us playing House of the Dead: Overkill, which is modeled after a Grindhouse movie and is pretty darn fun with arcade-style Zombie killing. Of course we watched a little Dawn of the Dead and played some Plants vs. Zombies on the iPhone over the weekend as well. It was a zombie-riffic Halloween. I snuck in The House on Sorority Row, Sleepwalkers and The Last Man on Earth over the past couple of weeks as well.
More importantly, Republicans picked up 60+ seats in Congress in yesterday's elections, so the Democrats will not be able to ram through socialistic balogna like Health Care Reform for the next two years.
Over the weekend, Rogers and I traveled up to Detroit for the first time in 18+ months to visit friends and our old church, eat at our favorite restaurants and watch a Redwings game with 9th row seats. Even though it was only for 36 hours it was nice to get away with Rogers for a day...Pretty sweet!
It's been a good couple of weeks!
