"I'm in love with American movies"

The weekend has arrived again. Last night I went to see Million Dollar Baby at 1:20 a.m. before getting up for my 9:00 a.m. class. To make a boring story short I have had a mere 4.5 hours of sleep over the past 42 or so hours. Plus a nap of about 1 hour, so I guess that's not too bad.

Tonight I went to see Hide and Seek with Robert DeNiro and Dakota Fanning. I wonder if Dakota Fanning will still be famous in twenty years. She's a cute little girl who seems to be a good actress. The movie was okay.
Million Dollar Baby on the other hand was excellent.

I'm a big movie fan. Whenever I have time to myself, I am always excited to lay down on the couch and pop in a movie. I guess I like be suspended in disbelief. On Fall Break I watched 5 movies in three days or something ridiculous like that. So since I like movies so much and Lisa gets tired of watching them all the time, we made a deal that we have movie night. So we rent a movie (or go to one) once a week. It seems to be working out well. We usually don't have to hard of a time agreeing on one as long as they are in, of course I'll watch most movies simply out of interest.

So that's why I go to the movie theatre at 1:00 a.m. I love the theatre experience and it's hard to pass it down when it's absolutely free. And what can be better than free popcorn with as much butter as you think you can handle? Not much. 4.5 hours of sleep is nothing. In another two years these opportunities will have passed me by. Until then I'll sacrifice sleep for a flick anytime. In fact, I'm tempted to start Some Like it Hot right now and fall asleep on the couch...nope I think I'm too tired.
