"Holding out for something less"

SIFE journeys to Cincinatti include the tales of faulty projectors, sleeptalking, terrible hotel service, finding cheap Better Than Ezra cd's, and seriously destroying the competition.

If you're interested in seeing a glimpse of the sort of things we do check out www.philllip.blogspot.com Phil's got a nice chart on there demonstrating what we taught the business people we presented to in Cincinatti.

So our projector did break down in the middle of our presentation, but we kept right on going and our tech team quickly put the back-up projector up and we kept on rolling. It was a blessing that it broke down last night so we would have a contingency plan. We ended up winning $3,000 - $1,500 for winning our division and 3x $500 for winning individual criteria awards. Overall it was a very successful day. A few companies were talking about possibly partnering with us, which is very good.

An example of the benefits of SIFE: two of our students were offered jobs today at starting salaries of $34,700. It's not a ton of money, but it's certainly some good starting wages. They would also be in line to move up through the company. These would be Assistant-Manager positions at Osco Drugs.

Yes, I did find BTE's out of Print Closer album for $4.99 at FYE. Although I have a copy of the album, I decided to pick up an extra since they're no longer being made at all and they sell for over $4.99 new on EBay all the time. (not that I'm going to sell it)

Yesterday when I returned home from school there was a big wet spot in the middle of my floor. Some shirts and papers were drenched. I threw down a towel and left. Today when I returned the white shirt had dried with a brownish stain and the towel was still very wet. What happened? It's a mystery. I presented the evidence. You decide. Is there a mystery pop-spiller, a drip-drier in the middle of the room or something more sinister? This sounds like a case for Encyclopedia Brown!
