"Drove to Chicago"

The more I learn about the company I will be visiting come Thursday morning, the more excited I am and interested I become in working there. Which isn't necessarily a good thing, because that will make me more nervous. Anyway, I'm certain that life will work out for the best, whatever roads Rogers and I are meant to travel down, and that is comforting.

So tomorrow Rogers and I will travel to the great land of Chicago in hopes of discovering a wonderful windy city and using that foot I have in the door up there to swing it wide open. Today I discovered that there are usually three rounds of interviews with said company, which is helpful as it will calm my nerves to know that this isn't a make it or break it meeting - this mutual assessment mission I am on.

Scrabble with Philip tonight was very enjoyable. Scrubs tonight from 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. will also be very enjoyable. Goodnight. Until Thursday when I come back with hopefully a good report that is more than just "It went well," or "Well they were interested in me until they met me," which would be similar to my "Harvard recruited me for basketball until I sent them a game tape." Did you know that? Do you believe it? I actually did talk on the phone with one of their coaches. Believe it or not.

That is why you always have to keep them wanting more. Which doesn't always mean high standards, but vague little peep-shows.
