"An infant tries to dance"

I'm going to sleep now, so there's no time for writing. I've got a job interview in 7 hours and it's in Indy so I need to get some sleep before battling morning traffic. Until then. Ado.

Something cool that's coming up though. Within the next month, I will be holding in my hands one of my greatest professional accomplishments thus far. I'm excited about that. I think people are going to be impressed. It was nowhere near all my work, but I spearheaded it's creation -- took the vision and ran with it. I will be proud of it. What is it? It's a wait-and-see.

"Each velvety cheekday"

This Wednesday (today) was a good day. It began like most Wednesdays except for when I got to class, I was kind of asked by the prof to lead the discussion, because my group had led Monday and we hadn't gotten to our questions at the end. I went 8@((5 to the Wall and it ended up being a lot of fun. I think someday I probably will be a professor. Someday.

The day went on in a typical fashion and then we presented our SIFE stuff in Reardon to about 75 people or so. It went very well compared to any previous practice so that was good. Dinner - Bible Study and some hanging out with a few SIFErs later moved into watching Spinal Tap in Smith with Deardorff, which was very cool and fun because we haven't hung out much recently, and the movie is hilarious.

The Fray may be coming back to Indy, Lisa and I are going apartment shopping on Friday, I'm no longer sick, I don't have much homework this week. An all around positive day. The worst news was that Applewood 8 is going to turn into a $2 theatre, which is nice for the community in some regards, but sucky for Ricker and it probably means no more late night free movies...
But everything else was good!

"I'd like to see right through the windows in your mind"

For the second time this season the name Rosenberg came out of Zach Braff's mouth on Scrubs. Since it isn't a really common name, I feel special.

Tomorrow is our first official SIFE Presentation. We are nowhere near ready, but hopefully it will go well. We had our first complete run-through tonight and it went surprisingly well.

So there are about 5 weeks of school left before finals. I've got a few projects to do before graduation, but overall it shouldn't be too bad. Hopefully there will be plenty of time for fun.
Lisa and I will hopefully find an apartment this weekend. That should be exciting. hopefully we can find a super deal.

Peace Yo -

This was one of my favorite pics from Mexico. The triple stack on a Berg back. This was one of two successful triple stacks.

"Easy does it, easy does it"

I'm exhausted, so I shall sleep. Today was a good day. Kind of a normal Monday, which is a good thing. This week will suck on Thursday and Friday as I have to get up in the 6:00 a.m. hour both days. But that leads into the weekend, which means I can run on fumes. I love the end of the week.

First IM Softball game ever for Berg today. I popped out 3 times, which means I hit the ball in the air and it was caught.

I am sick. I have a runny nose. I am excited that we got my wedding ring. It's sweet.

"I'll learn the parts and play along...if you'll let me"

So remember when I said go to http://www.joshuaradin.com/stream/music_player.php as recommended by Zach Braff and previously Lisa Rogers. Turns out you don't have to...he'll be coming to media near you when Columbia releases his first album and he goes on tour with Bob Dylan. He's probably going to be huge. You heard it from Braff first. www.zachbraff.com (the robots are working)

The weekend was a good one. Lisa and I registered yesterday for many things and today we bought a wedding band for me. It looks nice. It is kind of fancy and very shiny. I'll wear it with pride someday soon.

So I think I've learned a lot about myself recently. It's good to reflect--to realize the truths that are down inside. It's interesting to have others identify them in you and verbalize them. Not bad. Just interesting.

I've recently developed a cold of sorts, which is rare as I "rare"ly get sick. I don't think I would call this sick yet.

Season 6 of the Sopranos is on pace for being one of the best. Honestly the first two episodes I thought were amazing. Simply great entertainment. The 3rd tonight, not as good, but the plot moved along significantly.

Midterms so far: A, B, A- . . . . my prediction is for another B & another A.

"You may tire of me"

It occurred to me last night as Lisa and I talked into the wee hours of the morning, that I am holding out either psychological or emotional (or perhaps a combination of both) acceptance that life is moving on in the near future. I honestly believe that this has played a part in all the stuff recently. I don't know that I'm ready (as I said either psychologically or emotionally) to graduate to get a real job get married move away add new responsibilities. I guess I wouldn't say that I'm not ready. More like I'm holding out acceptance of these things. I'm still really attracted to this life that I've grown accustomed to and I'm not dealing with moving on very successfully.

I think it doesn't help that this semester has been very stressful either. Sorry for the depressing posts. Time for bed.

"Walk me down your broken line"

It occurred to me today that this is my worst semester of school on pretty much all levels: emotionally, academically, physically. I'm so worn down from everything. Spring Break was a small glimmer of hope. I'm exhausted and super-(not over)-committed. Pretty much sucks that this is it - the anticlimax of my college career. Hopefully the last month will be better than the last two.

On a happier note, I've also made some great happy memories. I guess there have been glimmering white shadows in the sea of black that this semester has been.

"As I walk through the valley"

And so it is. Life goes easy on me. I'm tired. While I was in Mexico, I think I averaged about 4 to 5 hours of sleep. I was a machine. Now back in the US, machine am I know more. I just want to take naps. So I guess the point is, I need to go to bed rather than stay up late.

I don't really feel motivated to update my Blog, which is disapointing. Hopefully, that won't last long.

"Amongst your toys"

Mexico was a fabulously amazing trip spent working hard, playing hard, making new friends and developing friendships with already friends, speaking Spanish, eating tons of food, dancing, smoking, not sleeping, and having an all around wonderful time.

It is good to be home...to get back on track...to see My Love...to finish school...to find a job. 50 days of school left roughly. Amazing. Amazing.

I'm tired. Goodnight.

¨I feel I must interject here¨

Because I am typing on a Spanish keyboard, I think I can put in cool symbols really easily. what fun ç´ñ

I´ve been in Mexico since Saturday and as expected the trip has been wonderful. We´ve taught projects to 325 children and we´ve visited 7 small businesses to see where we might be able to help. Our work is pretty much done. The last few days should be spent sight-seeiñg, relaxiñg, and dischoteching - fortunately we have one in our hotel. let´s hope the music rocks. I should also be coming back with a semi_soundtrack of the trip as we discovered a supercool mix of about 40 popular songs from the past 10 years. I love Mexico. See ya´ll soon.

"Gotta go to work, work all day."

It's been a long & stressful week. Now the light is shining at the end of the tunnel. I have a quiz today, but that's the only real important thing. We leave for Mexico in 21 hours. Unbelievable. I'm going to sleep through the first day of the trip, probably.

This marks the 2nd Friday in a row where my first block of sleep was 2 hours. The next block will again be about 1.5. Not too shabby. The Red Bull really worked, but I didn't have the heart to drink the 3rd one in this past hour when the other two have worn off.

So Spring Break is upon us. I'm excited about Mexico. I feel bad leaving Lisa to stay at home. It'd be nice if we were all going somewhere fun. It's weird that a lot of my closest friends really aren't doing much at all for their last Spring Break. Anyway, these thoughts and conversations may be better on the other side of sleep. The other side of Spring Break.

Goodnight, and good luck. Be safe.

"In a room where I can take no more"

I'm telling you people that the song "Closer" by Joshua Radin is z-shins. Check it out. http://www.joshuaradin.com/stream/music_player.php

So today I had my suit on from 9:30 a.m. to Midnight. Nevertheless, it was a very good day. I got a pseudo job offer as a Financial Advisor. Pseudo because I explained my situation and we both agreed that it would be wise to have me back in April to close the deal if it makes sense.

So my immediate goal is to write my paper tonight. If I do that, then I can take tomorrow evening and night to complete the SIFE Script. It's going to be a busy 1.5 days.

"The clouds in your eyes"

If you see Lisa tomorrow, you might notice her big sparkling ring that has been unfortunately and conspicuously absent over the past few weeks. The gal & I are going to be gettin married come June 24. Thank you for your prayers and support over the past few weeks, friends. We certainly had a rough spot, but the future is looking bright. I can't wait until I don't have to leave my lady at 1 or 2 or 3:30 a.m. (tonight), but can instead curl up next to her. Fortunately, I don't have to wait long.

In other news, I'm going to be extremely busy and probably stressed over the next few days, so if I come off as impatient or something, sorry. I don't envision too much non-busy time between now and when I leave for Mexico in what is it 72 hours or so.
72
-10 for sleeping
- 4 for hanging with friends on Friday
-12 commitments and activities taking place all day Wednesday
- 4 amount of work to do after getting home Wednesday
- 7 commitments on Thursday
------unfortunately that's just the beginning, but I'm going to bed before finishing.
Love,Berg

"We seem to never end"

Five good things that happened today:

5. "Discovered" new awesome music. Actually referred to by Zach Braff. Thanks, Zach. Check it out www.joshuaradin.com especially if you are Phil or Parliament.

4. Radio Interview #2 in two business days. It was okay. It's kind of fun to be on the radio.

3. Got homework done for Tuesday and Thursday in one of my classes.

2. Took an afternoon nap. Came home for an hour instead of working since I've been working at night a lot.

1. Watched Sopranos with Rogers. 4 more episodes to go and I will officially be ready for Season 6...and I'll be ready to read my "Leadership: Sopranos Style" book without fear of spoilers.

"Tiny little drops of my affection"

Another late night. Another early morning. Another weekend gone. Another night of work. Another day of church. Another TV show. Another song. Another night of not finishing everything. Another day ended in satisfaction. Another day of laundry. Another year of movies. Another moment wasted. Another moment gained. Another life lived. Another dream to dream. Another moment to smile. Another moment to wink. Another day to laugh away. Another night to sleep in peace.

See you in the morning. See you in the stars. See you in my dreams. See you in my arms. See you when we get there. See you on the way. See you when I see you. See you on the other side. See you when you wake up. See you when you sleep. See you when you weep.

Another tear. Another try. Another reason to fly away. Another reason to stay. Another thought to think. Another thought pushed aside. Another moment to reflect. Another day of thanks. Another time to see. Another day of happiness.

"You only meant well, well of course you did"

Tonight was the 2nd Patty Rogers Extravanganza. A pretty good time. Thank you to the friends of mine who were able and willing to attend. Ya'll are great.

Tomorrow will be a day of accomplishing things. I will get my work done - then it will be accomplished. I've broken my cardinal rule of not doing work on the weekends, but it had to be done. So that's about it. Happy Sabbath.

"Down in my mind"

I'm so tired. It's Friday and I may be going to bed very very soon. The Radio show was great this morning. We were on the air for about an hour and even had a guy call in and ask a few questions. It was a lot of fun. Tonight was Penn Station, Coldstone, and Poker night before capping it off with some Arrested Development. Time to sleep...

7:00 a.m. - Radio Interview
7:40 a.m. - Bedtime (hopefully)
9:36 a.m. - wake up, get dressed quickly
10:00a.m.- class
11:00a.m. - Coffee with the Boss of the family (ex-SIFE pres John VanDrunen)
11:30a.m. - quick bite to eat (maybe)
12:00p.m.- turn in paper
12:10p.m. - do some work at the FSB
1:40p.m. - Bedtime (hopefully)

We'll see if I can get everything done by those times. I hope so, because I'd really like to sleep. I can't wait for the weekend!

Love, Berg

"Down in Mexico"

Life seems to be going pretty well these last few days
It is a good thing
Current Thoughts
Before long I will be in Mexico (I'm super-excited)
I have to get up at like 6:00 a.m. on Friday and Monday (booo)
I'm super addicted to Arrested Development (it makes me laugh)
I feel as though I've been productive recently (in contrast to the first few weeks of February)
I'm going to Wal-Mart tonight (to wander the CD & DVD section looking for a deal)
I've recently spent way too much money (oh well)
"Beware of little expenses; a small leak will sink a great ship." -Poor Richard
"Diligence is the mother of good luck." -Poor Richard
I am very very good at sleeping during chapel (I'm out like a light)
I regret sleeping during chapel today (I found out afterwards that the guy was famous)
I got 100% on a test last week (Haskett's classes are way to easy)
Its nice to have a class that is "way too easy" (there are enough that are the opposite)
I'm going to be on the radio twice in the next week (that's why I have to get up early)

(only 116 days until the Wedding)
