"The angels hung around"

Lisa Ann Rogers - 24 years old today. I'm looking forward to celebrating her 74 birthday 50 years down the road.

I was thinking today about how young we are. 24 years. Our whole lives ahead of us. The road is paved, but we have to finish the book - how's that for mixing analogies.

I've said it before, but I'm a very nostalgic person. I love remembering and talking about old memories despite Tony Soprano's statement that "Remember when" is the lowest form of conversation. So I was thinking about how strange it must be to have another 24 years of memories and fond times to recall. We'll be 50 and have doubled the experiences. Then one day we'll wake up and be 75 and most likely our best days on earth will have been behind us. And we'll think back on the memories piled on memories (if we're still able to remember). It's strange to think about.

But for now, 24 years old. Here's to the future, and here's to friends. Look forward to seeing some of you on Saturday.

Dear Berg,
Drive safe, and don't crash. Also, Lisa, I fear that I may never get a kiss from you now, because Andrea has said that it is too late to get a kiss from you. Dr. Farmen will cry a little tear for us, I'm sure.
