Best Day Ever: Dinner at the Nile with Brian, Parliament, and Rogers then off to House of Wax, which did in fact turn out to be the Best Movie Ever. The magic formula was accurate.
I've never been to the Nile restaurant before although I have been an Andersonian all my life. The food was great, the dancing was interesting and the woman at the table sitting next to us who was telling the waiter what specifically she was doing wrong was entertaining. Later according to our waiter's away message (lisa is friends with her) the Kitchen calls that patron Dr. Bitch.
House of Wax was a very entertaining film. I had high expectations, and it did pass. The first ten minutes did not look to promising, but it ended up being a fun campy horror movie that was scary at times, grotesque at others, laugh out loud funny at other times and shocking a few times. One sequence made me jump more than I have ever jumped in a movie. I actually tried to dodge something that the Killer threw towards the camera. Part of the fun was the atmosphere of the theatre too. A few girls in front of us all screamed in fear in unison at one part. Parliament broke into laughter many times, Brian repeatedly questioned what we got him into (since we told him it was a Comedy because he doesn't like scary movies) and Lisa peaked through her jacket during the scary parts. Overall a great time! A small group of friends, a good group of friends.
Tomorrow night may be Reggie Miller's last NBA game. So many memories. Let's hope they win game 7! I'm going on a date with Lisa and taping the game. Then precisely at 11:00 I will watch the game uninterrupted. Let's hope the plan works.
